But you do you, man. And don't think about it too hard; you might grow a soul.

Yes, wishing people dead so they're not in the way of your political priorities is a norm in the cultural miasma of the day. It's still horrific.https://twitter.com/webdevMason/status/1150376883160141831?s=20 …

Mason 🏃♂️ ✂️ @webdevMasonI think the worst I've ever heard was something like "well, we would never have gotten gay marriage if the old religious folks hadn't died off!" I think I've even said stuff like this. Follow the reasoning: the important thing is that the people who disagree with you are dead. pic.twitter.com/XKXWj48mfiShow this thread1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes -

I guess that if you want to think that I'm lying to you, and on the inside I'm just like you but with some other set of desired corpses, there's not much I can do about it.

I just think there's a lot of ground between whitewashing and what we're seeing here, including not only a great deal of glee but a number of people taunting the surviving family members.pic.twitter.com/xmmGL0T6gw

Would it be horrific if it happened to your family?

I don't know what it means to "accept" that. That cruelty occurs doesn't imply that it ought to occur. Should more people make these comments to grieving families, or fewer? This is not a hard question.
