I feel the same way as you about this, even though I despise what he did when he was alive.

The celebration is unjustified, but the lack of tears being shed is not. He was a pretty awful bloke who had zero qualms about influencing politics through his wallet to shut down climate change issues. There are a few genuine reasons for his unpopularity.
-
He did some incredible and completely unnoticed work for some of the country's least protected populations. Acknowledge that and then hate him on net, fine. Fail to acknowledge that and feel free to show yourself to the door.

Tomorrow (or near-future): Everybody on the hyper-partisan Left & Right gets to hypocritically *switch sides* and swap: > Celebrating a famous opposition political donor's death vs. > Mourning the lack of modern civility and decency and not speaking ill of the dead Hint: Soros

What exactly do you expect, here? Of course "really." Unfollowing is easy as pie. Help yourself.

If it could be shown that no mass shooter has topped the loss of innocent QALY that the Koch's have achieved, would your position change? Are all politics equal? Are all ideas and ideologues beyond reproach? Why do we owe billionaires anything but demands that they help more?
-
You can disagree about whether Koch had an overall negative impact on QALY. But the people cheering his death have some pretty decent claims to make about his impact on QALY. Billionaires should probably avoid even the appearance of harming QALY if they care at all about legacy.
