I guess my point is, I don't think it's psychotic to sort of privately revel in the death of someone you think is a monster. I've done it. 
What's psychotic is doing it in public IMO.
Somewhere between wishing death on people who've themselves killed & wishing death on those who merely think differently is wishing it on those who've sold products, spent money & spoken in ways you disdain. People don't draw the lines cleanly. It'd reveal their own monstrocity.
Somewhere in there is some convoluted logic about how spending money and speaking caused harms on par with genocide (Global warming, perhaps?), and thus reveling in the death of a political opponent is actually Good and Righteous.
