I just don't know how people come to believe the major components of our economic system can be decoupled If I imagine a world in which corporations are actually doing everything they can to mitigate climate change, beef is like $25/lb & air conditioning, anywhere, is a rarity

Well yeah except Europe is gripped by anti-nuclear hysteria which means Germany's back on the coal And ironically global warming is going to require AC for some households particularly with elderly ppl

I guess this is the problem of a highly advanced economy with incredibly long supply chains. People can't envision the tonnes of coal that have to be burned to keep the lights on.
