Ha, wow. touché but even so I'd rather the cops err on the side of not fucking with homeless people for once, even if they're stealing bikes and bashing windows or god forbid leaving their poop in public, in the scheme of things not a big deal imo—not as bad as Police Presence...
the way I see it sure you could throw some fraction in jails, but unless something more fundamental is done about the wave of drug use (a lot of it being self-medication), e.g. access to psychiatrists and antipsychotics in particular, seems mostly symbolic to me
