Kim-Mai's assumption that I'm going after the DA in his role rather than his tone deaf politicking is wholly unjustified. This is an opportunity to better understand the failure points in our system, and as usual, defensive obsfucation and point-scoring is closing the door.

That's the implication. There are reasonable & difficult questions about how to manage violent offenders w/ severe mental illness. But when these systemic Qs are used to obscure the points of failure in a clear case where the public was put at risk, I'm keeping my eye on the ball
