Its just spanish, negrito its quite an affectionate and friendly way to refer to black people in spanish
tbh, I find it totally fascinating how totally unfamiliar race relations are to me when they don't involve white people

There was a massive public issue about this disconnect some years back when Luis Suarez, a footballer from Uruguay, used the word “negro” to refer to Patrice Evra, a black Frenchman, in England. Ended up with Suarez suspended for an extended period, still claiming innocence.
