IDK if the "loteria" game originated in Mexico, but I can tell you that everytime it was played in my family or with friends, there was zero racist connotations with that card. On the contrary, I'd say the card expresses a quality we admire (dancing with style and grace)

It’s not at all offensive to refer to darker skinned people as “morenito” (or “morenita”) It’s just as normal as calling someone “blondie”
