I don’t think it would be a misinterpretation, really - my point was that the extent to which you find this paper interesting depends on how much you think gender roles are v. Different in Belgium vs elsewhere, like the USA
I would anticipate pretty high variability even within different US regions... particularly comparing high-density/urban & low-density/rural US populations. The extent to which Tinder would be representative of the dating population is also probably pretty variable
