Did you get lucky with this coming onto the market or did you deliberately search for an abandoned church?
Lucky, extremely lucky, apparently they've had a hard time renting it because normal people do not want to live in a church

Their loss! That place looks amazing! I wonder how it ended up getting zoned residential. A while ago, I was looking at renting warehouses in the Weehawken, NJ area, found one or two, but they were always "for your business *wink wink nudge nudge*"
