Sharan and I have several friends we trust to fill this role for our hypothetical kids. There’s an Uncle Damien. You could be an Aunt Mason easily

When I was a teen this was a service mostly served by church youth group leaders (read: parents of other kids at the church), as in: "If you're ever stuck at a party without a sober driver to get you home, call me for a ride, I'll keep it between you and me (and God)."
-
(The offer was also good for other sorts of "I'm in a jam and need help to get out and don't want mom and dad to find out," but "I'm at a party and the person who gave me a ride started drinking" was apparently the most common use case.)

This is interesting… I want to play with the idea. Would you be willing to be a stakeholder for our students to interview?
