Would rather live in small town but would also prefer not to be high income/status due to social divisions.

I like big cities for myself, but having kids flipped my answer -- becomes more important to be around family, a good public school system, a yard, more living space, etc.
-
Yeah plus being upper class in a small town is no fun ... jealousy and all that crap.

Depending on the big city, $150,000 is no where near upper class. In many, it's struggle middle class.
-
Yeah, I said "middle/upper middle class" because there's a lot of variability re: cost of living in major cities. Some would make you a pretty typical member of the middle class, others would definitely put you on the upper end of the range

if we measure wealth and success with money if we're primarily doing things for the money if we think money is the answer ... then we should be able to explain; - how money works, - why money is worth valuing - and what 'money' is actually costing us all.

I think you'd get different results if you phrased it in terms of "lifestyle" and not "class". A lot of people would be uncomfortable thinking of themselves as upper-class or the "1%" but still want to e.g... have a house with a lawn.

My dream is to make enough money to/get some job opportunity to relocate to a small town.
