Name/link a book so special to you that you feel immediately closer to someone when they mention how important it is to them

The Beginning of Infinity by @DavidDeutschOxf Lying by @SamHarrisOrg are probably the 2 books that have most changed the way I think about things in a way that no other books have. As Sam would say, a total firmware Upgrade.

FWIW, I've had a much easier time with David's book than Sam's, despite needing to spend a lot more time with it. I find myself fighting just about everything Sam writes, but FWIW Sam never suggests anything he hasn't himself integrated and seen the consequences of. To a fault.

Both @DavidDeutschOxf & @SamHarrisOrg are sincere to a degree that's genuinely rare amongst public figures, which is why I'm very happy to give the highest recommendation for both of them

What do you fight against in *Lying*?

I'm a relatively attractive woman with a very high degree of social awareness/observation. I can tell you what I'm seeing, but 9 times out of 10 you're not going to like it, and you're especially not going to like it coming from me. The social smoothing is a gift.
