@DavidDeutschOxf Lying by@SamHarrisOrg are probably the 2 books that have most changed the way I think about things in a way that no other books have. As Sam would say, a total firmware Upgrade.
FWIW, I've had a much easier time with David's book than Sam's, despite needing to spend a lot more time with it. I find myself fighting just about everything Sam writes, but FWIW Sam never suggests anything he hasn't himself integrated and seen the consequences of. To a fault.

Interesting. I had the opposite experience. Lying just clicked for me and with it, my behavior, and the benefits were almost instant. With David's, I still struggle with exorcising ideas such as Bayesian reasoning from my world view. Not integrated his ideas fully yet.
