There is no possible way for me to answer that because, obviously, I have not lived every possible place there is to live. I've lived in or near: Seattle, Austin, Portland, NYC, St. Louis, LA. And yes, not one of those places is fungible for my purposes.

Outsiders might perceive this as being flippant about abuse, but seriously, living in a state of constant anxiety around being unable to make rent or avoid homelessness if your current thing falls through is extremely bad for one's mental health
