Yep - if people require you to accept their framing and dogma at the outset (which the hard SJWs do IMO, and more so than hard Right), there is simply no room for genuine dialogue.
Dunno whether the hard left is more or less guilty of this than the hard right, now, but these are surely untenable norms. I think a lot of people coming from the left are shocked by the turn; intellectual freedom + openness are values they hold dear & associate with the left
Makes sense - hard left maybe isn't worse, it's just more shocking or alarming when they do it b/c more antithetical to their historical posture re freedom of speech and belief? I'd buy that.
