I think it's not unreasonable to see the sharpest in the IDW as a bunch of gen-Xers who see that their generation burnt the libraries for warmth & what stands to be lost is the best of the *human* tradition. And so they're racing the cultural fever pitch to build a new Agora

I see this thought echoed a lot by silicon valley types. Why does everyone that's hyper educated think education is fake? Tech school is still super useful and worth the buck so I guess I'm wondering if you mean the ROI is off or if the actual education is not useful.

Hmm, education includes everything from potty training, playground rules learned from other kids, all the way to Ph.D. work. There's official & unofficial channels & a lot happens outside official. I guess you meant education's end goals, like knowledge/virtue/happiness?
