I doubt Chu has ever listened to "the other side" except through distorted lenses provided by "allies." As I understand it, the "gender critical" perspective — whatever one thinks of it — has never denied masculinity/femininity, wide variation within sexes, or genetic influences
"Gender essentialism" is this particularly peculiar thing that both sides of the issue seem to attribute to one another and not themselves. But Chu is taking this well into crazytown by implying that *any* attempt to connect genotype to phenotype is basically modern phrenology
