Trans kids on puberty blockers maintain pretty stable bone density during a period when cis kids rapidly gain bone density. Yes, highly politicized issue, w/ lots of PC, and probably more than a few financial conflicts of interest to boot. I find it really hard to understand this issue since I don't actually have any close friends who are trans. I know plenty of gay/lesbian ppl, but trans are rare.
