If the account is public, then teachers & anyone can do ‘spot checks’ If not, larger institutions shouldn’t have admin oversight. If there’s an issue, any student can use their account and device to prove it without admin intervention

But I’m with you; these oversight rules would carve a niche for creative and tech savvy students. An issue arises though; we don’t want incentives for human creativies to be concealed. Black hats grow and flourish in the shadows.

In my science and tech high school, the first period kids in classes with computer access would create a fresh VPN setup for the day and it would get passed around on notes til the admins IDed it and shut it down. Usually a new one around lunchtime
