One might suggest that if your discount SWAT team is having trouble *finding* the enemy at their own event amidst your own innumerable throngs, perhaps just perhaps they've already largely lost the war, & you are doing a bang-up job of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory

I think it’s part of the idea of anti-fascism. They try to fight fascism with fascism. It rests on a HUGE misunderstanding about what fascism is, though. They think the ideas are evil, but actually the methods (that they consciously adopt) are way more dangerous.

At least in Portland, I’m not sold on this whole “Antifa” thing. The behaviors look just like what those who used to style themselves as anarchists used to do. I’m not convinced there is any real political motivation underlying their actions.
