I'm *finally* learning to not get into it with people about whether or not they're using some unseemly tactic and should stop. If you catch a magician slip a card into the deck, and his only response is "no, you did not see that!" there's no further business for you there.
You won't ever get an admission from the magician. Maybe it's useful to show others where to look to catch the sleight of hand, but some will be there to understand what's going on & some will be there to see magic. You'll always be cooperating in one game, defecting in another
