      I don't think he was actively advocating that he wants politicians to fear for their safety, just that he doesn't want politicians' views of themselves to run away to such an extreme that they no longer view themselves as mortals who have to play by the same rules as everyone.

      There's a pretty big difference between those two things. God-kings were kind of a thing for a long time. When you believe you're a god, it means you can do whatever you want to the people because you're morally superior. There are politicians today who aren't SO far from that.

          For the record, he did reply with "I condemn violence in almost all instances. I don't want politicians to fear for their lives. I'm just concerned about them becoming ever more cloistered in their ivory bunkers." I'm dropping it... I just hate block culture.
