It's not the root issue, but yes. There's a reason I'd never even think to say "ah, I see you've reconsidered the stance on abortion you had when you were 6!" to anyone
That said, kids should feel free to engage with complex issues and grapple with them with the information they have. But too often there are adults pushing them in front of a camera to make their points for them, because (for good reason) nobody wants to take shots at a kid
