I used to think that the order of priorities to be healthy in life was: 1) exercise, 2) eating well, 3) getting enough sleep. Increasingly convinced I’ve had it backwards.

I'm curious though, does the risk reduce if you sleep a couple of more hours in day time?

They go into that with some depth, actually! The answer is very complicated — just for example, going to bed too late will "cut off" different components of the sleep cycle than waking too early. Napping can be useful, but it's not really possible to make up "sleep debt."
