Take a look at the open letter again (I did to help me see what you see). They're taking about gender equality and the desire to hire a diverse workforce. (Restricting abortions will hit the poor and non-white harder than the white wealthy.)
Okay, but ask yourself: why does a company need abortion access in order to hire a diverse workforce? First ask yourself that question from your own perspective, and then ask it from the perspective of someone with the opposing worldview.
From my perspective: limited abortion access lopsidely hits poor, non-white women... in a non-trivial way. Opposing worldview: unlikely to budge and will use the frame you identified. (I said that I got your point.)
But neither matter much. Based on recent events, Republican politicians can be swayed if the economic issues loom large enough. Wouldn't be surprised if that's driving this framing.
