Bruising starting to show. I don't know how to best solve this, but it's not OK for people to attack others on the street. l live in an area with a large homeless population and most of these people are actually pretty good neighbors. People like this create unnecessary conflict

Ugh, sorry to hear. LA still has some of the old urban weirdness gone from eg. New York. There’s policy things to discuss re: homeless interventions, but on a personal level situational awareness goes a long way- my 90’s NYC instincts have gotten me out of a lot of trouble here.

No, it's not ok and I'm glad it wasn't worse. Unfortunately this is a symptom of lawlessness and a city creating an atmosphere where people normalize bad behavior
