SFs refusal to build more housing at the expense of dropping property value is a very short-sighted move. Every day it seems like I hear about more companies moving out of SF to start somewhere else or foregoing SF completely.

By the way, if you'd like to see people "forced into higher density and packed quarters," I invite you to look around the SFBA and see how lower-income folks are living now. I know people who literally sleep in closets. My DT Berkeley neighbors had four bunk beds to a room.
