I've slowly come around to the blockchain diehards: really, the serious ones are people who understand the value of narrative -- and the especially bright ones understood even then that the "open web" would never survive populism without redundant infrastructure

YouTube has LOADS of independent videos w/ 1M+ views and lots of likes, but they show up on YouTube search well below videos on the same topic from the likes of CNN, even though the CNN videos have less than 100k views and few likes.

Maybe that explains why Youtube suddenly started recommending garbage. Apparently «reputable sources» means «glossy & tabloid».
