There's a difference between "I'm sexually attracted to you, but won't sleep with you until I know you better" and "I may only start to feel sexually attracted to you once I know you better", no?

Yes, tho I suspect the latter is also predominant amongst cis women, despite a few decades of messaging to the contrary. It's more obvious if you draw a distinction between romantic and sexual desire, and I think it's basically what you'd expect from anyone with the big gametes

Demisexual is a Tumblr invention and allows cis het teens to be part of the queer community. It only makes sense as an identity if you're living in a dystopic YA novel where romance is forbidden and promiscuity is mandatory, but a few dare hold onto the Old Ways: The Demis.
