I've also noticed a lot of easy point-scoring re: picking on the IDW within bubbles that aimed for respect but landed on enforced-agreeableness + ideological purification rituals of varying severity, and AFAICT lack the self-awareness to notice what happened
IDW "ideology" seems limited to open traditionally liberal (NOT Leftist) intellectualism w/o any agenda beyond careful reasoning and mutual respect. Within the IDW, we find a refreshing diversity of viewpoints and civil debate.
My hunch is that it requires too much journalistic effort to understand these new models which don’t fit neatly into existing boxes and narratives. Rather than putting in the groundwork the only viable alternative is to try and destroy the new entity and avoid future effort.
