I love it! It sounds kinda upgoer to me, like it was designed to be easy to translate.
I recently read a short horror fanfiction that was set up like a standard "exploring cursed ruins" tale, with the (non-human) explorers mysteriously falling sick and inscriptions on the walls in dead languages - the twist being that they're all translations of this text!
