You’re right but there’s some survivorship bias creeping in here. There are the silent millions who are just as scrappy but not as lucky who were taken out by other catastrophes.
This is an insanely unhealthy perspective that you will simply not find among many people who have accomplished unlikely things.

When I succeed at something difficult I expected to fail at, I say I was lucky. If I want to ATTEMPT something difficult, I first say "I need to be aggressive and tough (scrappy) to accomplish this." I don't just say "I need luck" and just hope things work out.

Is it healthy to be arrogant about your own accomplishments and without compassion towards the lack of accomplishments of others?

Mason I’m not in the habit of taking things personally so please don’t worry about me. Have you bought into the idea that worldly success will bring you enduring happiness?

I'm not interested in whatever you're selling, thanks

What is the purpose of accomplishing unlikely things? To finally receive love? Riches? Happiness? What is your destination, when we all know where our final destination will lead?
