I still *really* don't understand why there isn't a digital wallet I can just load up and use to buy single articles from any major publication on the fly, zero friction. I'm not happy with paying $50-250/year for one pie when what I clearly want is a spread of slices.

I am a big fan of brave/BAT for this very reason. However I don't think BAT will succeed unless they make it easier to buy/get BAT. I believe they will solve that problem.

I tend to find ways around the paywalls (not always successful). If it hasn't been done, I wonder if that means the idea isn't very marketable. It's certainly doable.

Ugh, this just feels like the publications missing the point *yet again.* If people wanted selection and curation, they'd still buy papers. I want my twitter feed to do the curation, and then I *just want to be able to read what I find there.*

Is it so hard? App X establishes relationships with magazines/newspapers. Load your app X account with 20$. Variable cost per article and I get charged on a per view basis
