I mean... I have seen, *in person,* such places. Don't worry, though: for the time being, they're pretty well contained to a very small set of children and parents who seek them out.

Homeschooling is variable — depends on both the kid and the resources the family can pull together. I think it works well when the kid is excited about it and there's an adult involved who's excited about assisting as needed. It's true that less time is required for focused study
