Just caught up with an old colleague and compared our parents - it seems like the Boomer generation is engaged in massive wishful thinking that their children will save the world via unspecified magic

They believe that their children are better and wiser than they are because it absolves them of responsibility to do anything about the huge and growing problems they're passing along, not because their children are actually magic.
