Finding that I want read -> think -> tweet more, but it's especially hard to do so when I'm slinging code for 8 hours/day! Any tips on implementation from current/previous devs?

A day spent implementing a familiar framework vs. refactoring vs. writing unit tests vs. building out a new feature that doesn't pattern-match well to prior work — all are a day of "coding." Very different from each other, for different minds, & w/ different levels of experience.

Agreed! And "knowing what to code, why, and writing the least amount of code to get the job done" is deep-thinking, esp. when factoring in readability, scalability, performance, privacy laws, helping other engineers on my team better understand the business & more. Not a vacuum.
