      Neither! I think definitions are very important and definitions as social constructs are serious and important, and have large consequences on how we structure society, philosophy, politics, and law

      I don't know what views OP has, but Eric Weinstein certainly seems to think "social construct" means fake based on his replies. Not sure what he earnestly *means* either, but math is definitely a social construct, just one that evolves out of largely academia and philosophy

      It's a sleight-of-hand trick permitted by clumsy language.       Yeah, I guess my takeaway now is that you either *don't* understand what a motte/bailey is, or consider it a totally benign social move as long as the motte itself is not necessarily false (regardless of how misleading it is) You do you boo
