My money (pun intended) is on rejection of unicorn seeking venture capitalists in favor of bootstrap/slow growth/crowdfunding. VC money makes everyone think in terms of gangbusters ROI, there’s 10,000 viable bootstrap zebras for every VC unicorn.

Yes! I do think (/hope) there's a coming boom in people who *could* make $200-300k/year as a well-placed cog making a somewhat-riskier ~$200-1000k on bootstrapped ventures that reach niche markets with products that don't necessarily scale outside that purview.

I really like this framing. I think the next costly lie is that you have to code or have a technical cofounder to start a company - with all these no-code tools, individuals will be able to gain traction for products w/o almost any code
