I actually tried to pull the data they looked at (though I could only find CDC data aggregated by age into clusters for 5-14 & 15-24 years) to visualize. What I saw showed a clear & concerning upward trend in suicides over 5 years but nothing remarkable for April 2017
Will share when I get to my laptop. I don't know that I'd dismiss an effect altogether, but it definitely looks in the realm of "a small handful of suicides are possibly attributable" at most, and I don't think that's the takeaway most folks are getting
