I complain about the Bay Area a lot. There are many reasons to do so. But, I'm going to an event about self-driving cars tonight, and that's legitimately cool.

That makes sense. I'm one year in. But, I met some really interesting people in the South Bay last year (
@drenerbas,@KLdivergence,@MrMeritology ) and plan to start connecting way more. One thing this area does have: People open to talking about fascinating ideas!
I'm honestly 
inspired to take greater advantage of the Bay's strengths re: human creative/intellectual capital after watching @TheAnnaGat & @visakanv do that so effectively during their stay here!

I recently chose to move to the Bay for this very reason and found the get together on Saturday to be everything I could have hoped for. This isn’t an ideal place to live for many but for me seems great so far
