I assume videos & audio will soon have to be digitally signed--but even that only helps at the margin..
They might be able to shatter it in a good way - good enough vr&deepfakes, might e.g. help people overcome traumas by helping them re-interpret past social interactions.
@tristanharris and @noUpside have their finger well-placed on the pulse of tech and have mentioned this.
Such a future of trauma therapy combined with psychedelics could be unimaginably (today) awesome.
