I can understand people who don't personally want to have children. I can't understand people who have contempt for children, and (typically) contempt for the human legacy they make salient. It's a scary thing when a person's self-loathing is too big to fit their own skin alone

Very young kids, especially, will do like Harry Harlow's poor baby monkeys: they'll try to weather out the consequences for whatever it is they've done wrong, and then they'll try desperately to "fix it," if they can. That goes to show kid’s natural impulsion to learn. It isn’t getting them to learn that’s the problem, it might be that they are learning from a passive-aggressive cloth mother shooting brass bullets of menial work at them.

Begs the question as to what degree you are limiting your child by sending them to school — 1/3 waking hours spent with substitute parents incentivized to spend as little time as possible(1/class size) interacting/teaching your over-active kid (1/contempt), using busy-work.
