The problem is that 'diverse' has been radically usurped and recommissioned to infer that people who have the same skin color or gender are in some way similar in values, background, skillset, or goals. Some things cannot be measured in such simple minded ways.
Oof. Whatever you think of diversity initiatives broadly, tying compensation for managers to the racial/gender makeup of their hires should cross a bright line. The problem is the marxist inspired politics that sees issues of discrimination not as individuals having prejudice against other individuals, but as groups oppressing other groups. In this ideology, an individual member of an oppressive group cannot be also oppressed.

Given that it was written by someone who characterised James Damore’s memo as pseudoscience and said he was trying to say women weren’t suited to engineering (both of which are untrue), it’s hardly a shock the rest of it isn’t great and focuses on the wrong things.
