I think they're often people who look rabidly self-satisfied, but have developed a deep conviction that they themselves are too weak or too stupid to create much of value. They often haven't seen local value creation, so they assume all capital is handed down, one way or another

agreed, i think that fits with the first basket of mine. on the local value creation side of things (which imo includes chartity and community work) I think that contrary to popular belief that’s a big libertarian/anarchist value.
