I think they're often people who look rabidly self-satisfied, but have developed a deep conviction that they themselves are too weak or too stupid to create much of value. They often haven't seen local value creation, so they assume all capital is handed down, one way or another

I keep thinking back to that same tweet... I guess their rush to declare *voluntary* agreements that lead to *positive-sum* outcomes as "slavery" makes sense when you consider what it would take to make their preferred system appear noble by comparison.
