FWIW, as someone with some relevant expertise (microbiology PhD) I tend to agree with Bob here -a bad problem, but not nearly as apocalyptic as the media (and some scientists tbf) make out.

I think antimicrobial stewardship is important, but just that numbers regarding the scope of problems like this can be inflated (and academics are largely to blame for this, not journalists).

I think it's critical to cite whatever it is you object to *fairly* and to give reasons for your criticisms. There's unfortunately a cynical antisocial intellectualism infecting social media and I'm frankly sick of watching this cheap hand be played.
