I find it very telling when these folks describe productive property ownership as this obscenely fantastic life situation — not to argue for reform to expand that enviable class to include more of us, but to harness the schadenfreudian impulse to break what one can't have
The redistribution of productive assets & the end of their private ownership are mutually exclusive. If the government still owns what it "gives" you, you're a steward: an employee. All functional capitalist systems have redistributive mechanisms, e.g. tax-funded social programs.
