So helping people learn to program and get a high paying software engineering job is really, really difficult. Anyone making that seem easy is selling something and in for a world of hurt.

It is difficult to replace. Interviewing costs a lot of money. Increasing the time burden on engineers is bad. Many questions that might bring more insight are very time consuming.

Projects are good, but they can't be programmatic because those platforms are nightmares and then the solution leaks so then devs have to evaluate by hand. Again, slow.
