      I mean... I love understanding about how inventions came about with or without a lot of focus on the inventor, but interviews & popular work from creators are generally REALLY good stuff. Hard to find better sparks. I think there are a lot of babies in your bathwater.

      Celebrity culture has troublesome elements, certainly... but successful, influential and/or proactive people DO tend to have more interesting/useful things to say. "Don't get into stupid small talk / lifestyle gushing" seems great, but celebrating thinkers is not a bad thing.

      It sounds like you're talking about Hollywood/celebrity culture again, which is dumb but which I also just don't really think matters very much in the end. Wealth without success/influence is usually not very interesting, yes.
